There is a pretty elegant, gourmand nose with a certain richness in control and a nice grain. A fine mellow side accompanies notes of crushed boysenberries, blackcurrant and small notes of violet associated with a touch of bigarreau cherries, small ripe red fruits as well as a hint of cubeb pepper, toast and nutmeg. There is a very discreet hint of cocoa in the background. The palate is fruity with freshness and minerality. The tangy frame has good definition, juiciness and a certain tightness. There is also delicacy in the relative richness, roundness and notes of creamy blackberries, crushed strawberries and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of nutmeg, tonka bean as well as fine hints of sweet spices. We also perceive a subtle note of Bourbon vanilla in the background. There is sapidity in a good job on the good bitters on the lingering finish. Nice freshness, minerality and definition.
