Château Lafleur 2024 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, frank, precise, clean, taut and well-balanced. There are notes of racy minerality, wild blackberry and small notes of spices, associated with touches of smoke, fairly ripe Charlotte strawberry, fine hints of small crushed red berries, as well as a hint of small brilliant blue fruits and a subtle hint of fresh licorice stick. The palate is fruity, balanced, racy, elegant, full of finesse, elegance, depth, subtlety and offers creaminess, accuracy, tension, precision, as well as a lovely stretched/delicate side. Nice sense of detail. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, fleshy cherry, small ripe wild red berries, combined with touches of cornflower, nutmeg, as well as a hint of clove, tonka bean, smoke/tobacco, spices and a fine hint of dark-elegant. The tannins are creamy, elegant and discreetly sappy. Lovely, finely sappy, chocolatey, gravelly persistence. Lovely textured persistence.
