Château Lafite-Rothschild 2022 – Pauillac, 1er Grand Cru Classé

Lovely, elegant nose, airy, deep, intense, all mastery / precision and nicely racy. The wine deserves to be decanted. Superb delicacy and finesse in its intensity. We find notes of boysenberry, bright cassis and, more lightly, cornflower associated with touches of lilac. The palate, is well-built, supple, fresh, airy, melodious, bewitching, deep, delicate, brilliant and beautifully textured. A bewitching, “come and get me” side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, bright/fresh cherry and, more lightly, small brilliant red fruits, combined with touches of racy minerality, juicy/fresh violet plum, small brilliant/juicy red fruits as well as discreet hints of chocolate. The tannins are mellow, gourmand and elegant. Good length and superb persistence. Super sparkle. Superb airy character in its richness and power.
