Château Laffitte Carcasset 2024 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose offers concentration in freshness and accuracy (menthol, blackcurrant bud, pine sap, pine bark), envelloped in tangy fruits (bigarreau cherry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, raspberry, roasted red cherry), combined with notes of liquorice, coriander seeds, cardamom, chocolate, cocoa nibs and wild mint, as well as violet and graphite, toasted wood and toasted hazelnut. The attack on the palate is tangy, fruity and fresh (bigarreau cherry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, raspberry), then we feel the flavors of violet, peony, liquorice, cardamom, coriander seeds, cocoa nibs, morello cherry in chocolate, toasted wood, toasted hazelnut and coffee. The herbaceous touch is refreshing (wild mint, blackcurrant leaf). The tannins are firm, well-constructed, and refined. A beautiful texture and a mouth-watering and gourmand finish.
