Château Laffitte Carcasset 2022 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is aromatic, with bright fruit, spice, a certain intensity as well as a fine, peppery grain. We find notes of blackberry, crushed redcurrant, and more lightly crushed strawberry, associated with touches of cornflower, a hint of pepper, as well as fine hints of nutmeg, camphor, and a touch of pepper. The palate is beautifully delicate, mellow, juicy and brilliante, with a tangy frame. We find notes of creamy redcurrant, crushed strawberry and more lightly, brilliant cassis, associated with fine touches of violet, small juicy/fresh red fruits and iodine, as well as hints of toast, almond and a hint of cinnamon and cardamom in the background. Tannins are sapid and gourmand.
