The nose is aromatic, subtly roasted and offers fruit (quite ripe), a floral finish, a certain concentration as well as a certain power. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, wild strawberry and small notes of roasted-juicy small fruits associated with touches of violet, lilac, hints of clove as well as fine hints of star anise and an almost coffee hint (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers minerality, an acidulous frame, suavity, fat as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of fleshy/juicy cherry associated with touches of bright small red fruits as well as discreet hints of roasted fruits, violet, a hint of tobacco, camphor and toasted hazelnut. Tannins are suave. Good length. Freshness, salinity and suppleness.
