The wine has a deep ruby color with slight purple highlights. The nose is textured, velvety, but closed at first. It expresses notes of morello cherry, crisp strawberry, raspberry, red currant, red plum, roasted red cherry and blackcurrant, combined with a chocolatey hint (morello cherry in chocolate, prunes in chocolate in the background), spicy (liquorice, nutmeg, coriander seed, vanilla in the background), toasted (toasted wood, toasted hazelnut) notes. There are also notes of dried pine needles, dried mint, black tea and lily in the background. The palate is dense, concentrated, but juicy and fresh. The attack expresses notes of dark chocolate, ripe fruit (morello cherry, strawberry, blackberry, red plum, blackcurrant), which are then complemented by the toasted (toasted wood, toasted almond), spicy notes (tonka bean, vanilla, liquorice) and herbaceous (dried black tea, dried pine needles, tobacco). The tannins are well-built, polished, but solid. Good acidity, the finish is long, fruity and chocolatey, enveloping and gourmand. A pleasant and firm wine, with potential.
