The nose is fruity and offers concentration, richness, some depth and elegance. There are notes of creamy blackcurrant, boysenberry and, to a lesser extent, ripe wild strawberry, combined with hints of Bourbon vanilla, toasted hazelnut and a fine touch of crushed blueberry and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, gourmet and offers roundness, delicacy in its richness, accuracy, freshness, good definition as well as a fine acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy black cherry, crushed strawberry and more slightly blueberry cream combined with delicate touches of Bourbon vanilla, chocolate, a subtle hint of toastiness and an imperceptible hint of saffron (in its flowery side).
