Château La Verrière 2023 – Bordeaux Superieur

The nose is discreet at first, but after aeration expresses notes of fresh and tangy fruits (raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, a touch of morello cherry and red plum), associated with slightly sweet notes of vanilla, morello cherry, peony, chocolate and morello cherry jam. The palate is supple, slightly woody and spicy on the attack (liquorice, toasted hazelnut), with a good coffee bitterness. We also find notes of morello cherry, red cherry, raspberry and strawberry, as well as a hint of liquorice and peony. Good tannin structure, firm, but not drying. The acidity is sharp and salivating. Good persistence.
