Château La Tuilerie des Combes 2021 – Montagne-Saint-Emilion

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is reserved at first and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of juicy fruits (morello cherry, crushed blueberry, black plum, wild strawberry, red plum), associated with a spicy (vanilla, liquorice) and delicate toasted hint, as well as a note of dried mint, pine needles and dried rose. The palate is enveloping, delicious and melted, with a slight sweetness of dark chocolate, toasted oak and caramelised hazelnut (in the background). There is also a slightly sweet touch of peony, vanilla and fresh liquorice. The fruity flavors are ripe and juicy: the wine expresses notes of morello cherry, red chocolate cherry, crushed morello cherry, black plum, blackberry and wild strawberry. The tannins are fine, but grippy and need time to round out. The acidity is salivating and fresh. The finish is sapid, slightly woody (you can smell the toast in particular), with a delicate bitterness of coffee and dark chocolate.
