The nose is beautifully racy, revealing a floral, complex, pulpy, fresh and at times finely crisp fruit. There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, bright black plum and more lightly of wild red berries combined with hints of lily, liquorice and a hint of star anise, lilac and a discreet touch of clove. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, roundness and harmony, juiciness, an acidic spine, some silkiness, a fine volume, elegance, a nice definition, an airy side in the approach as well as an elegant and racy structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, bright blackberry and more lightly red berries combined with hints of violet and juicy/flavoured purple plum as well as fine hints of liquorice, camphor, fresh blond tobacco and a subtle touch of spice. The tannins are precise and slightly mellow. A very discreet touch of black pepper on the finish.
