The nose offers a fine grain as well as power in finesse/mastery. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of wild blackberry, grey pepper and slightly nutmeg combined with hints of ripe wild red berries, liquorice, a subtle hint of cardamom as well as a discreet hint of vanilla and an imperceptible touch of incense. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers some sweetness and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe blackberry, wild blackcurrant and more slightly lily combined with hints of grey pepper, ripe wild red berries, fine nuances of racy minerality, flowers, camphor and a subtle hint of clove and tonka bean. The tannins are supple. Good work on the bitter taste and a subtle hint of saltiness on the finish.
