Château La Tour Carnet 2017 – Haut-Médoc Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic and gourmand. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed nut, almond and more slightly fleshy strawberry, small fruits associated with fine/discreet touches of sweet spices, camphor and Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers a good freshness, a beautiful minerality, a good definition, an acid frame, tension as well as a beautiful grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, juicy/crushed red berries, cherry and more slightly raspberry associated with a subtle hint of cassis, mild tobacco/zan, spices and an imperceptible hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and slightly tight. Good length.
