Château La Tour Blanche 2022 – Sauternes, Premier Grand Cru Classé

The nose is racy, elegant and offers a beautiful, precise, frank, racy, powerful and delicate grain. Full of precision. We find notes of mirabelle plum, flint, kumquat and small notes of verbena associated with touches of apricot blossom, sense of place (local terroir/biotope), racy gravels as well as discreet hints of sweet pepper and a very discreet hint of citrus fruits. The palate is beautifully built, supple, precise, elegant, airy and offers unctuosity in balance, accuracy, delicacy, straightness as well as power (full of accuracy in its power). On the palate this wine expresses notes of roasted kumquat, roasted apricot and small notes of marmalade associated with fine touches of pineapple in syrup, verbena, physalis, a hint of raisin (passerillage) as well as fine hints of Zante currant, pâtisseries, honey, acacia/acacia flowers, toasted almond and a subtle hint of nougat (in the background). Good length. A tannic side in the background (from an aromatic point of view). A beautifully supple, delicate wine… Congratulations !
