Château La Tour Blanche 2014 – Sauternes, 1er Cru Classé en 1855

Beautiful, elegant, fruity, syrupy and well-balanced nose. It reveals notes of pineapple in syrup, roasted small fruits, mango and small notes of roasted apricot with thyme combined with touches of pear, lemon, lemon tart as well as fine hints of candied ginger and spices. The palate is beautifully structured, fruity, well-balanced and offers a tangy frame, gourmandise, fat, a good definition, a certain unctuosity, delicacy, tension as well as an airy side in its richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of lemon paste, roasted pineapple, fresh white fruit paste combined with touches of lychee in syrup, pear in syrup, fine hints of roasted small fruits as well as a hint of roasted apricot, candied ginger, a subtle hint of star fruit as well as an almost pink hint (in the background) and hints of almond. Good length. A beautiful gravelly minerality on the finish.
