The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The aromas are pronounced and tangy: the wine expresses notes of fresh black fruit (blueberry, quetsche plum, morello cherry, blackcurrant), red fruit (red cherry, wild strawberry), sweet spices (liquorice, a fine touch of cinnamon), as well as subtle herbaceous notes (fresh bay leaf, fresh tobacco). On the palate, the wine is silky, with structured but delicate tannins, a velvety texture and flavors of ripe fruit. It reveals notes of raspberry, red cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, wild strawberry, bay leaf, fresh tobacco and a subtle touch of minerality (wet stone) in the background. The finish is refreshing, with notes of bigarreau cherry and nice acidity. Good length with a pleasant bitterness.
