On the nose, fruity, elegant, nicely defined and offers concentration (in finesse), a nice finesse of grain, depth and some freshness. It reveals notes of pulpy wild blackberry, small black berry burstings and more lightly wild strawberry associated with touches of small red berry burstings, distinguished minerality, plum blossom, tonka bean, sweet spices and a subtle hint of pepper. On the palate, it is fruity, balanced and offers creaminess, juiciness/acidity, elegance and gourmandise, some tension, nice acidity, minerality and airiness. The wine expresses pulpy/creamy blackberry, creamy black currant and more lightly fleshy/juicy strawberry notes with hints of violet, small tart/juicy red berries as well as hints of chocolate, toast, fine cardamom, nutmeg and discreet vanilla (in the background). Good length. The tannins are elegant, precise, numerous, nicely defined/fine and mellow. |
