The nose is spicy, concentrated and offers an airy side in its spicy expression as well as a certain little racy/airy power. We find notes of wild blackcurrant, nutmeg and slight notes of blackberry associated with touches of strawberry, small wild fruits as well as hints of clove, wild pepper, maceron berries and a fine graphene tip/undergrowth. The palate is nicely juicy, pulpy, gourmande with a slight creaminess and an airy and tense side. We have notes of pulpy cherries, pulpy blackcurrant and more lightly of violet plums associated with touches of small crushed red berries associated with touches of blueberries, star anise, zan as well as fine hints of tonka bean and blond tobacco. Tannins are sapid and mellow with juiciness and minerality. There is a subtle toasted hint in the background and we feel that the wine needs a decanting. There is purity in its fruit, a fine creaminess and pulpy fleshiness of the fruit. Good length.
