Château La Révérence 2022 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, frank, precise and stretched, offering a beautiful straightness and a peppery side. We find notes of creamy cassis, tonka bean and small notes of roasted morello cherry associated with touches of bourbon vanilla, sweet pepper as well as a discreet hint of lilac, nutmeg and subtle hints of cubeb pepper. This wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a tangy frame, tension, precision as well as a certain creaminess in finesse. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, bright blackcurrant and small notes of juicy and fresh cherry associated with a touch of crushed raspberry, cardamom, tobacco, hints of camphor, roasted hazelnut as well as fine hints of cinnamon and toast. Good length. Tannins are suave. Slight saline hints on the finish. In the finish, a subtle iodized and sappy part appears in the background/persistence.
