Château La Renaissance – Romana 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers juiciness, a small crunchiness, a certain purity of the fruit. It reveals notes of juicy/fresh cassis, crunchy/fresh blackberry, small notes of small bright blue fruits associated with a touch of crunchy strawberry as well as fine hints of liquorice and a very discreet hint of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy frame, minerality, a good definition, gourmandize, a small tension, suavity, a very fine unctuosity and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, blueberry, small notes of raspberry associated with touches of small red berries as well as hints of dark chocolate, bourbon vanilla, a subtle hint of toasted/toasted hazelnut. Good length.
