The nose is fresh, racy and offers a nice typicity, some tension, precision, a fine stretch as well as a fine peppery edge. There are notes of fresh/ripe blackcurrant, pepper and more lightly limestone/sense of place (local biotop) combined with hints of raspberry, fresh plum and pepper. The palate is juicy, fruity and reveals precision, tension, gourmandize and suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, violet plum and more lightly violet combined with hints of tart/juicy red berries as well as fine pepper, zan and a discreet hint of fresh blond tobacco. Good length. The tannins are precise and mellow. Freshness, good definition and harmony. A subtle hint of star anise and a very discreet hint of herbs in the background. A nice work on positive bitterness in the background/finish.
