Château La Pointe Chantecaille 2022 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The wine needs to be decanted and needs time to fully express itself. It reveals notes of crushed strawberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant and small notes of pulpy blue plum associated with touches of zan, tobacco, a hint of nutmeg and a discreet note almost of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity and offers a nice juiciness and a pleasant freshness. It hasa good definition, suppleness, suavity, fat and a slight unctuosity. The wine expresses notes of crushed strawberry and pulpy blackcurrant, small notes of crushed blue fruits as well as a touch of bright bigarreau cherry, lily and smoke, with a subtle almost vanilla hint. Good length. A discreet almost bergamot note in the background. A small touch of dry tobacco on the finish / on the persistence. A fresh and unctuous wine.
