Château la Pirouette 2022 – Médoc

The nose offers a certain power, spices, and concentration. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of black cherry, violet, and small notes of pulpy wild cassis associated with touches of crushed small red fruits, rhubarb, as well as a discreet hint of cinnamon, clove, and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suppleness, freshness, minerality as well as a fresh structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, violet and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of bright red berries, bright raspberry, as well as mineral notes and a hint of blond tobacco. Good length. A subtle hint of clove, sap, and chocolate on the finish. Tannins are finely mellow.
