Château La Patache 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is racy, elegant, precise and offers a nice dimension, depth and finesse, density as well as a nice textured grain. A “3-dimensional”/complete side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet and slight notes of lily, strawberry associated with a hint of Timut pepper, star anise as well as fine hints of toast and chocolate. The palate is nicely mineral, well-rounded, complete, fine/refined and offers freshness, accuracy, tension, a tangy structure, a nice definition as well as aromatic purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, pulpy/fleshy blackcurrant and small notes of chocolate associated with touches of small fresh fruits as well as hints of tonka bean, fine hints of fairly ripe fresh cherry and a fine hint of vanilla. Nice little softness on the finish/persistence. An imperceptible hint of chocolate and an imperceptible hint of almost fresh orange in the background.
