Château La Patache 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, fruity, silky and offers a certain depth of freshness as well as a fine fleshy side in the background. It reveals notes of violet, pulpy blackcurrant and small notes of fresh/pulpy violet plum associated with touches of bright raspberry, hints of pepper, nutmeg as well as a discreet hint of fresh blond tobacco and pepper. The palate is mineral, balanced and offers a lovely freshness, tension, accuracy as well as a lovely energy/dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant and small notes of violet associated with touches of small crunchy red berries, a fine sappy hint, rose as well as discreet hints of broad bean. fresh tonka and a sense of place (terroir). The tannins are fresh and sapid. A soft finish.
