The nose is fruity, fresh and offers some power and concentration. There are notes of creamy wild blackcurrant, fairly ripe blackberry and more lightly violet combined with hints of fresh/ripe violet plum, star anise as well as fine hints of Timut pepper, a subtle hint of fresh vanilla and a very discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals freshness, minerality, a certain concentration, a nice freshness and gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry liqueur, pulpy, fresh blackcurrant and more lightly star anise combined with hints of spices, lily, fine points of fresh crunchy red berries as well as delicate nuances of black tea, infusion and discreet hints of almond, toast and a subtle note of fresh coffee in the background. The tannins are supple and well-managed. Good length. A nice freshness in its concentration.
