The nose is mineral, racy with notes of boysenberry, violet and small notes of graphite, ripe wild berries and slight hints of pepper. There is also a subtle saline note. The palate is fresh, mineral, elegant and well-built. There is a nice finesse to the grain and the whole is very discreetly tight. Airiness accompanies notes of wild blackcurrant, concentrated plum and slight notes of violet associated with touches of star anise, small bright red berries as well as fine hints of violet, camphor and tonka bean. The tannins are supple and fresh. There is a good length and a nice definition.
