Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2022 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is elegant, airy and benefits from being decanted. It reveals a flinty side, dry gravel and small notes of notes of small white fruits, associated with fine zest and a discreet hint of sappy/acacia. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, elegant, airy, with unctuousness in finesse and delicacy, a little sphericity side, fatness, roundness and pulpiness. It expresses notes of quenette, pulpy vine peach and small notes of notes of lychee, associated with touches of lemon, bright kumquat and notes of small bright fruits as well as a hint of zest, toasted and an almost imperceptible hint of pearlescence. Good length. A subtle hint of acacia, fresh verbena and toasted hazelnut in the background. 72% Semillon. Beautifully salty side, with even light note of smoke in the background. Persistence of lightly crunchy zest, very discreetly lemony in a positive sense. Appetizing on the palate.
