The nose is elegant, beautifully racy and offers power in delicacy, complexity, fine grain, harmony and some power in delicacy. There are notes of bright boysenberry, blackcurrant and more lightly ripe raspberry combined with delicate touches of graphite, cardamom, racy minerality/terroir and a very discreet hint of roasted, sappy and sweet spice. The palate is mineral, fresh, balanced and reveals a nice definition, a certain gourmandize, an acidic backbone, juiciness, aromatic purity as well as a certain power in balance. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, cherry and more lightly fresh blueberry/fresh flower notes combined with touches of bright blackcurrant as well as hints of camphor, toasted/caramelised almond, nutmeg, toastiness and an imperceptible hint of almost roast (in the background). A nice combination of freshness, good acidity and racy power. The tannins are elegant, mellow and sapid. Good length.
