The nose is fruity, gourmand, slightly fleshy and offers richness. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of ripe/crushed strawberry associated with discreet hints of ripe plum, chocolate/oak as well as a subtle toasted hint and a very discreet/imperceptible hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful fat, a beautiful freshness, a nice minerality, silky, a slight tension as well as suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fleshy/ripe strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of toasted oak, chocolate, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of vanilla and a subtle hint of licorice/cardamom. Tannins are fine, well-built and slightly firm. Good length. There is a slight note of bitter dark chocolate/cacao on the finish.
