The nose is reductive. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of red berries, rosebuds and, more slightly, blackcurrants, combined with hints of spices, camphor and a touch of cloves. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, fatness and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cherry, crushed raspberry and more slightly acidic redcurrant combined with a touch of pulpy blackberry, violet and fine camphor, racy minerality and clove. A subtle hint of chocolate on the finish.
