The nose is aromatic and offers a nice finesse of grain, amplitude and harmony. There are notes of ripe wild blackberry, crunchy black berries and more slightly violet combined with hints of pulpy raspberry/blackberry as well as fine nuances of lily, fresh blond tobacco and a discreet hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, tightly wound and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, good definition and an acidic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy wild blackberry, crunchy raspberry and more slightly of fresh flowers/irises combined with touches of racy minerality, a fine touch of fresh black plum as well as fine cardamom and a subtle hint of clove. The tannins are well-managed. A subtle hint of positive bitterness in the background. A fine spicy/varietal quality both on the nose and on the palate.
