Château La Garde Blanc 2021 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is mineral, racy. There are notes of gunflint, pulpy/sparkling apple and more lightly racy minerality/fresh grapes combined with hints of small white flowers, subtle hints of fresh kumquat, fine hints of quince and small nuts. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, some gourmandise, and a tangy backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of delicate quenette, lychee and, more slightly, vine peach, combined with touches of lemon, bright kumquat, a subtle hint of fresh pineapple, as well as discreet hints of gunflint, hot sap, toast and an imperceptible hint of rose petal (in the background).
