The nose is fruity with lovely ripe/dense fruit and vibrancy. There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, morello cherry and a little cocoa combined with hints of violet, incense as well as hints of crushed cherry and a hint of toast. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, a certain greediness, tension, precision and a nice grain. On the palate, this wine expresses morello cherry, wild blackcurrant and, to a lesser extent, pulpy wild blackberry, with hints of pulpy raspberry, pulpy/juicy cherry and fine camphor, cocoa and a subtle hint of cocoa and toast.
