The nose is elegant, racy and shows some depth, fine/fresh/tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh wild blackberry, violet and more slightly wild blackcurrant combined with hints of crisp strawberry, blackberry leaf, lily, pepper and a discreet hint of cinnamon. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a fine unctuousness, a tangy acidic spine, good definition, good work on the varietal (not vegetal) flavours and bitterness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy raspberry, fresh violet, small crisp/fresh red berries and more lightly peony combined with hints of fresh blackcurrant, nutmeg, fine hints of fresh liquorice stick, subtle vanilla and crushed almond. The tannins are finely sticky.
