Château La Croix Lartigue 2022 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fragrant and expresses pronounced spicy and woody notes (fresh wood, pine, toasted, licorice, clove, a very slight note of coffee), accompanied by a concentrated fruity substance. We find notes of fresh blackcurrant, morello cherry, crushed strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, as well as a touch of violet and cornflower. On the palate, there is depth and maturity. The wine expresses pronounced flavors of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry, blueberry), a touch of crème de cassis and blackberry jam, mint chocolate, licorice, bitter cocoa, toasted notes and sweet coffee, as well as notes of violet and dried cornflower. The tannins are silky, fine, but structured. The wine is warm, full-bodied, with chew, fullness and density on the palate. Good length on very ripe black fruits (with a slight prune side), a peppery touch and supple acidity. Good concentration and development potential.
