The nose is aromatic and offers intensity, depth as well as racy power. It reveals notes of black blackberry, wild cassis and slight notes of black pepper associated with a hint of infusion, touches of graphite as well as discreet hints of roasted cherry, star anise and spices. The palate is mineral, elegant and offers fullness in its power, concentration and a multi-layered/complex aspect, depth, a certain density as well as an tangy structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild strawberry, bigarreau cherry and more lightly wild blackcurrant associated with touches of infusion, almost aromatic herbs, tobacco, camphor as well as hints of fresh roasts as well as with fine hints of sweet spices and nutmeg. The tannins are supple, sapid and elegant. Nice energy and dynamism on the finish. Good length. A wine that will need a little time to reveal its full potential.
