Château La Couronne – Réserve 2021 – Montagne-Saint-Émilion

The nose is fresh, racy, a certain elegance/delicacy. There are notes of fresh violet, lily/lilac and more lightly of crisp blue berries combined with hints of pulpy cherry and fine, almost liquorice-like notes and a discreet touch of fresh pepper. The palate is fruity, tight and reveals minerality, a juicy/acidic frame, good definition, a certain gourmandize and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh violet, lilac and slightly fresh blackberry combined with hints of cherry/fresh red berries, fine plum blossom, peony and discreet hints of fresh pepper and fresh spice. Good length.
