Château La Conseillante 2023 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, elegant and offers a graphite/chalky side, a little floral, a stretched side as well as a fine fresh-blackness / austerity-elegant. It reveals notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy blue berries and small notes of roasted-juicy raspberry associated with touches of fresh pepper, graphite, camphor as well as fine hints of cornflower, pepper and fresh flowers. The palate is nicely fresh, fruity, juicy, airy and offers a nice definition, gourmandise, tension, accuracy, breadth in freshness, voluptuousness in power, a nice depth, complexity, darkness in finesse/elegance as well as a nice powdery touch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, violet and small notes of fresh violet plum associated with touches of cornflower, small bright red fruits as well as hints of graphite, camphor, fine hints of toast, almond, toasted hazelnut and a subtle chalky hint. The tannins are precise, fine, supple, fresh and finely powdered. Good length. Beautiful persistence.
