Château La Conseillante 2008 – Pomerol 

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a beautiful delicacy as well as a slight intensity. It reveals notes of cassis, small blue fruits and fine touches of violet, blackberry associated with slight hints of sweet spices, graphite, very discreet hints of spices, a very discreet hint of menthol, iris as well as an imperceptible hint of truffle and an imperceptible toasted hint / vanilla. The palate is fruity silky, well-balanced, harmonious and offers a beautiful grain, a beautiful elegance, a slight juiciness (in the background), a slight straightness, tension, a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful finesse, freshness, concentration, a beautiful grain as well as roundness. The attack is ample. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, blueberry and small notes of small blue fruits associated with slight touches of wild strawberry, violet, as well as discreet hints of spices, tonka bean and undergrowth/mushrooms. Tannins are elegant. Slight chew on the finish.
