Château La Commanderie – Rubis 2022 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is spicy, with a little concentration and a hint of volatility. There are notes of blackberry, violet, and slight notes of saffron, associated with touches of small wild fruits, as well as hints of tobacco, graphene, and discreet touches of spices. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave with a mineral framework. We note a fine sappy/licorious side in the background, with a discreetly tight, but modern structure. We also perceive notes of juicy blackberry and small pulpy wild black fruits, and more discreetly of graphene associated with touches of fresh flowers, saffron, as well as a hint of star anise and clove. Tannins are fine and mellow, with a hint of gravelly minerality in the background.
