The nose reveals some density, concentration, a fine grain and a fine restraint. There are notes of blackberry, red berries and a hint of clove, combined with hints of toast and a hint of sweet spices and a discreet touch of pepper. The palate is mineral and offers a fine freshness, some juiciness, tension, energy and a fine minerality. On the palate this wine expresses juicy, fresh blackberry, raspberry and more lightly fresh, pulpy red berry notes combined with subtle touches of violet, lily as well as fine nutmeg, a discreet hint of clove and a delicate touch of almond. The tannins are well-managed. Good length.
