Château La Chandelliere 2019 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fruity and offers tension, a little stretch and a fine peppery edge. There are notes of pulpy strawberry, pepper and, more slightly, crunchy boysenberry, combined with delicate touches of spice, nutmeg and a subtle hint of cumin in the background. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a mineral/acid backbone, sapidity and a certain pulpiness of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy redcurrant, fleshy strawberry and more slightly violet, combined with hints of pulpy blackberry, as well as fine hints of lily, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of vanilla in the background).
