Château La Cabanne 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, discreetly tight and reveals some power as well as elegance. There are notes of boysenberry, pulpy wild blackcurrant and more slightly violet combined with touches of ripe berries and fine points of tonka bean, nutmeg and a hint of Madagascar pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, nice definition, acidity, minerality, energy as well as a fine airiness in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, cherry and more lightly crushed red berry notes combined with hints of lily, violet, crushed blue berry, discreet hints of cardamom and a fine touch of licorice and vanilla. Good length. A discreet almost iodine touch (in the background). Suavity and gourmandize. Harmonious.
