The nose is aromatic and offers a slight gourmandise. It reveals notes of vanilla, blackberry and wild strawberry associated with discreet touches of cassis as well as a very discreet touch of redcurrant (in the background) and a subtle / discreet hint of caramelized oak. The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, racy (terroir) and offers a nice mineral frame, a slight freshness, depthness and a slight juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe raspberry, ripe cassis and slight notes of black cherry, ripe / juicy red berries associated with toasted touches, dark chocolate as well as a discreet hint of hazelnut and grilled oak. Tannins are well-built. Good length and good persistence. There is a hint of salinity on the aftertaste.
