The nose is fruity, very well managed and reveals some power, fine grain, complexity and fine intensity. There are notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, wild blackberry and more lightly peppery, combined with pulpy/fresh wild red berries, with fine touches of pepper and discreet toasty hints. The palate is fruity, balanced, fresh and elegant/fine, revealing juiciness, a nice acidic structure, gourmandize, good definition, fleshiness, acidity, silkiness and good purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, fleshy/pulpy blackberry and more slightly crushed raspberry combined with a touch of red berries, a subtle hint of liquorice, blueberry, chocolate and a subtle hint of almond and toastiness. The tannins are smooth and precise, fine and coating. Good length. A nice sapidity and a little iodine. Delicate and precise. Creaminess with an airy side. A subtle hint of chocolate in the background.
