The nose is elegant, fruity and offers power as well as concentration. It reveals notes of bright blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of small black fruits, liquorice stick, hot gravels (minerality/terroir), sweet spices, dry tobacco as well as a subtle hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-built and offers an acidulous frame, freshness as well as a small concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright/juicy blackberry, juicy cherry and small notes of cassis associated with touches of hot gravels/racy minerality, small ripe/pulpy berries as well as hints of coffee, sweet spices, mocha, toasted and a very discreet hint of pepper. Tannins are well-built. Fine hints of cocoa and caramelization on the finish/persistence.
