The nose is fresh, elegant, racy and offers richness in control/continued richness, precision a certain purity of the fruit, complexity, controlled density, a stretched side as well as a nice finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of pulpy Boysen berry, cornflower, small notes of cassis associated with touches of violet, small ripe/griots black fruits as well as hints of bright red berries, timut pepper, peony, fresh blond tabaco as well as a discreet hint of Badiane, a very discreet hint of cinnamon and spices (malbec). The mouth is fruity, elegant, all in delicacy/juiciness and offers gourmandize, tension, a nice freshness, an aerial character in the balances, masked power/controlled power, minerality, energy, creaminess, purity of the fruit as well as a nice acidulous fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry purple plum, small notes of small pulpy/acidulous blue fruits associated with touches of strawberry, chocolate, dark tea, peony as well as fine hints of lily, cardamom, a discreet hints of caramelized oak and an imperceptible hint of bourbon vanilla pod. The tannins are precis, elegant and finely creamy. Good length and persistence. A nice wine all in elegance and offering a nice richness all in freshness and balance. Presence of an imperceptible hint of good bitterness and coffee in the finish/persistence.
