Château Jean Faure 2010 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, a certain delicacy and deepness. It reveals notes of ripe wild blueberry, cassis and small notes of violet associated with a touch of crunchy/acidulous violet plum small red fruits as well as hints of cassis leaf, zan, sweet spices and a discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, gourmandize, tension, a good definition, finesse of the precision, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a certain aromatic purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, juicy/fresh blueberry and small notes of violet associated with touches of fresh raspberry as well as fine hints of liquorice stick, vanilla pod, cedar and fresh mild tobacco. Good length. Tannins are fine, elegant and well-built. Very discreet hints of hazelnut and vanilla on the persistence.
