The nose is expressive, with dominant woody notes at the beginning (toasted wood, a touch of coffee), which develop towards notes of pine sap and pine needles after aeration. We also find aromas of morello cherry, black plum, red cherry, crushed blueberry and blackcurrant, associated with a delicate minerality (limestone), spicy (licorice, white pepper) and a fine floral side (lily, peony). The attack on the palate is woody (heated wood, toasted hazelnut), with a good bitterness of coffee and cranberries, as well as a chiseled and lively fruitiness (morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry), a touch of liquorice, cumin and white pepper, as well as lily and violet in the background. The finish expresses the sapid, grippy, but fine tannins. Good persistence in the mouth, on the delicacy of ripe red fruits, bitter chocolate, a toasted and herbaceous hint (blackcurrant leaf) and a salivating acidity. Beautiful freshness, fruit and energy.
